Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account and sign-in: username, email address, password hash if you use a password, and the account identifier supplied when you connect Google or Discord. Google sign-in or connection uses your verified Google email as your private RaceCentral account email. Discord sign-in or connection uses your Discord username to pre-fill a contact method. We request basic profile and email information from those sign-in providers.
• Rider profile: the name, Zwift ID, preferred measurement system, role and contact methods you enter. When you connect a Zwift ID, we retrieve available ZwiftPower information such as profile photo, name, category, FTP or power-to-weight values, club, team and country.
• Series and community: series memberships, club and team rosters, recruitment activity, invitations, race interest, chat messages, posts, comments, reactions, reports, submitted links, captions, photos and videos.
• Safety and technical data: moderation decisions and reports, chat-presence identifiers, session and security cookies, and technical server logs that may include IP address, browser information and request time.

2. How we use information

We use this information to create and secure accounts; let riders join series, clubs and teams; display racing profiles and community content; support recruitment and notifications; run chat and media features; moderate harmful content; investigate reports; maintain backups; and keep the service reliable. We use a rider’s Zwift ID to request their available details from ZwiftPower. RaceCentral does not ask riders for their personal Zwift password.

3. What others can see

Other users or visitors may see the name and photo you use, available ZwiftPower racing details, club or team associations, and content you publish in a series community. Team rosters and recruitment listings may show rider identities and contact methods. Contact methods you add, including a Discord username pre-filled when you connect Discord, may be shared on profile, team or recruitment views. You can edit or remove them in your profile. Your private account email is not automatically published as a contact method; it appears publicly only if you separately choose to provide it for contact.

Each series has its own community feed and gallery. A personal mute hides another user’s chat, posts, comments and media from your view; it does not delete that user’s content for everyone.

4. Providers and external content

Hostinger hosts the site and its database and uploaded files. Google and Discord process sign-in through their own services; RaceCentral requests basic identity and email only and does not keep their OAuth access tokens as a standing connection. ZwiftPower supplies rider details when a profile is synced. Where automated moderation is enabled, text submitted to community features may be sent to the moderation provider for safety assessment. External fonts, profile photos, link previews and websites may also involve requests to their providers when displayed or opened.

Those providers have their own privacy practices. Information may be processed outside your country depending on where a provider operates.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies needed for sign-in sessions and protection against forged requests. A temporary identifier helps count active chat viewers. Your browser stores your light or dark theme choice locally. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser settings can clear cookies or local storage, although removing essential cookies may sign you out or prevent some features from working.

6. Retention and security

We retain account, profile and community information while it is needed to provide the service. Content removed from public view, moderation records and backups may be kept for safety, dispute resolution, legal obligations or recovery for a limited period. We use HTTPS, restricted server access and backups to protect information, while recognising that no online system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and requests

You can edit your profile and contact methods, change your theme, disconnect a sign-in provider where available, and mute other users. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, email contact@racecentral.online. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request. Your rights and any further complaint options depend on the laws that apply to you.

8. Children and policy changes

RaceCentral is intended for people able to participate in its community under applicable law. If you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate permission, contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
